Well, here they are. It only takes one call of "Kitty, Kitty" and you have four hungry mouths waiting for whatever scap you have. I have warned workers at the place to not smell too much like food. One farrier got malled trying to eat his lunch on the tail gate. These cats are VERY bold. Well, feed, but still will beg very strongly for food.
And remember Rick helps name these cats. So as with the ones in the house they all have several names and sometimes the names change with time.
The kids dropped of several cats Summer 2004. We worked to get them all fixed so we didn't have too many barn cats. summer. Bulldog was one of them. He looks like and at time fights like a bulldog. His front legs kinds bow. :)
Snowball or White One the kids also gave us when they couldn't keep him longer. He was raised by thier younger sister and is very friendly. If you make anything close to a lap he is in it. He loves to be held. He will come in on occassion since he does almost match the color scheme in the house. :) And he loves to be held. Sometimes the inside cats are not holding cats.
The kids gave us a mother cat (Tiger) who in a thunderstorm in April of 2004 gave us baby cats. Sadly later that summer Tiger died. She just kept letting them nurse and getting skinner. A cat flu finally did her in.
But we do still have two of her babies. She had four and as with all kittens in the wild things happened to two of them (Rick keeps thinking things will eat the barn cats.) Yellow or Orange One (a boy) and TJ (for Tiger Jr) or Girl One are the two that made it.
The bottom pic is TJ and White One vying for attention. Something they all do. But these two are the most friendly and will be in your lap or accassionally in the house as holding cats.
And if you have food they are pirranah. They can clean a turkey carcus faster than anything. :)
These guys are great mousers. We haven't had mice in a while. Occassionally they will let other cats come around. We have picked up a few strays, but they don't seem to stay long.
You will find these guys in the barn or sometimes in the garage. On cold days they nest in the hay in feeders in the barn. Or make cat piles in the dirty clothes hampers.
Hope you enjoyed seeing our cats. Email us and tell us cute things your cats do.

Say hello to the newest barn cat. Yep, Poof got caught doing bad things not once, but twice and was tossed out on his ear. :) He is the youngest of the barn cats, but has become the dominant ruler. He has even tried to tell a skunk to leave the pasture. :) Luckily without spryaing. He will follow you most anywhere in the pasture and has learned to be good around the horses. Sometimes he will even give a kiss. But he must live in the garage at night or he will torment the inside cats by sitting on the window AC.
Monkey is Witta's (see inside cats) brother. He was tossed out like Poof for bad habits. We thought he had a horrible death, until my trainer and neighbor said she kept seeing a cat that would not let her catch or see much of him. Finally one day I got a better glimpse. It was Monkey. Debbie decided that was a horride name and renamed him Lucky. Debbie's cats and dogs enjoy sending time with Lucky, but he is still a bit illusive with people. However, Debbie's new red healer is learning to pen Lucky so folks can pet him. :) It's pretty funny to watch. We are just glad he is OK and loved.
